Baltimore, MD - Jan. 25, 2024 - Passing unanimously with no comment or discussion, on Wednesday the Board of Estimates (BOE) quietly approved another $250,000 contract increase for Fearless Solutions LLC, the software company currently redesigning the city’s website.
It’s the project’s second adjustment, extending its completion deadline and boosting its total budget to $2,216,691.35 million. That’s more than double the $1,078,847.40 initially agreed on. Significant changes made to a contract already riddled with controversy.
“The Board of Estimates should be asking questions and should be demanding answers. For there to be no discussion about this is ridiculous,” said taxpayer advocate David Williams.
From the start, Willaims says the owner of Fearless Solutions raised ethical concerns. Delali Dzirasa is the husband of Baltimore’s Deputy Mayor Letitia Dzirasa and one of Mayor Scott’s longtime campaign contributors.
