Baltimore, MD - Dec. 9, 2015 - Much joy was had at Bnos Yisroel and Bais Yaakov of Baltimore last week, as Rebbetzin Tap performed for over 1,000 girls.
“It was so interactive,” said Yehudis Hexter, Director at Bnos Yisroel, “even the Principal had so much fun.”

Rebbetzin Tap is a children’s entertainer, tap dance teacher, and motivational speaker for teens and adults. She has produced several musical DVDs, the latest being “You Can Dance: A Sing and Dance Along,” which features 14 songs from top Jewish female artists, each one with its own dance production and instruction.
Off stage, Rebbetzin Tap is Kerry Bar-Cohn, chiropractor and mother of four, living in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel. Her recent U.S. concert tour included schools in Baltimore, Queens, Crown Heights, and Lawrence.
“I love coming out to schools and seeing the girls’ faces light up. What I do is all about bringing out the joy and excitement in being Jewish.”
Rebbetzin Tap’s concerts had the girls up on stage, with fun hats and props, playing a dancing game with a giant dreidel. She performed a number of original songs from her DVDs “Get Ready for Shabbos” and “Jewish Holiday Celebration,” including her Chanukah song “The Biggest Light.”
“It was a high-energy event,” said Leora Rosen, Principal of Bais Yaakov of Baltimore. “The girls all had a wonderful time.”
Apart from DVDs and concerts, Rebbetzin Tap is now offering a full tap dance course online, geared to preteens and up.
