Jerusalem, Israel - July 11, 2023  - JPost reports that protests swept across Israel as citizens rallied against the reasonableness standard bill's passage in the Knesset. Demonstrators blocked roads in cities like Ben-Gurion Airport, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Herzliya, Tirat Hacarmel, Modi'in, and Binyamina. They united to defend Israeli democracy and reject what they perceive as a dictatorial coalition. Reservists in cyber units and Rafael employees joined the movement, ceasing their duties in protest. Histadrut Chief urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address the situation and prevent further unrest. By 11 a.m., authorities had arrested 42 protesters. Simultaneously, the bill moved forward to the Knesset Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee, aiming to limit judicial review of government actions.
