An explosion occurred in downtown Baltimore on Sunday night, leading to four injuries. The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the 400 block of West Pratt Street near Eutaw Street and was reported as a steam pipe explosion. Baltimore Gas and Electric, the city Department of Public Works, and the city Office of Emergency Management were already present due to a prior water main break. Of the injured, three were taken to a hospital while one was treated by paramedics on site. The cause of the explosion is under investigation. The event led to major traffic delays and street closures around the area. Public is advised to avoid the area as parts of downtown, including regions outside the Marriott and Hilton hotels, are shut down.
