Baltimore, MD - Dec. 3, 2015 - The Mitzvah of Challah dates back to the beginning of time. We know that Sarah Imanu's Challah remained hot and fresh from week to week & for generations Jewish women lovingly bake bread and take Challah each week in honor of Shabbat. This Mitzvah is said to be a great merit to those that perform it.

This past Wednesday evening December 2, the women of Ohr Hamizrach Congregation Sephardic Center, gathered and spent an evening making Challah and sharing in the Mitzvah. It was beautifully arranged by the Shul's sisterhood as a Segula for those who are in need of finding a shidduch, Refuah Sheliema and personal wishes.

Each station was set up so that each women was able to make their own dough and then recite the Bracha while others answered Amen. It was a delightful evening where women of all ages joined together. For some there were 3 generations of women standing and sharing in the Mitzvah!
