Baltimore, MD – July 10, 2026 – TA is urging parents and community members to immediately contact Baltimore County officials regarding a proposed traffic change that could significantly impact access to the school. Public comments are due today. The school's message follows below in its entirety:

Dear TA Family,
We hope you are well and having an enjoyable summer! It was brought to our attention today that Baltimore County is considering reducing Old Court Road to one travel lane in each direction between Greenwood Road and Reisterstown Road. This proposal could significantly worsen traffic congestion during TA arrival and dismissal, create longer carpool backups, restrict access to the school, and add further delays during the school day.

According to the notice, public feedback from the community is due today. Please email publicworks@baltimorecountymd.gov and respectfully urge the County not to move forward with the proposed plan.

Feel free to craft your own message or use the below template:

As a member of the Baltimore community, and parent at Talmudical Academy at 4445 Old Court Rd, I am writing to express my opposition to the proposal to reduce Old Court Road to one lane in each direction between Greenwood Road and Reisterstown Road. This area already experiences substantial traffic, particularly during school arrival and dismissal times. Removing travel lanes would likely create significant congestion, longer carpool backups, reduced access to Talmudical Academy, and additional safety concerns. I respectfully ask the County to reconsider this proposal.

Thank you
