Haifa Area, Israel – Apr. 5, 2026In the Haifa area, MDA EMTs and paramedics are providing medical treatment at the scene to four casualties, including an approximately 82-year-old man in serious condition who was injured by a heavy object, and three casualties in mild condition with shrapnel and blast injuries. Additional teams are providing medical treatment to four people suffering from anxiety symptoms.

When emergency teams arrived at the street, they saw a multi-story building that had been hit, with extensive destruction at the scene. Residents reported that there were casualties trapped under the rubble on the lower floors. Responders managed to move large pieces of concrete by hand and rescued an 82-year-old man from the debris who was in serious condition but conscious. He was provided with initial treatment at the scene and evacuated to the hospital in a mobile intensive care unit ambulance while in serious condition.

The building, described as a 7-story structure, sustained a direct hit, causing extensive damage. Large emergency teams, including ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and medicycles, were deployed and began searching the scene. During the searches, responders located a seriously injured casualty trapped in the destruction, along with three additional casualties in mild condition.

Among those treated in mild condition were a 77-year-old woman, a 38-year-old woman, and a 10-month-old baby who sustained a head injury after being struck by shrapnel. In addition, several individuals suffering from anxiety symptoms were treated at the scene.

Emergency personnel reported widespread destruction, including glass, smoke, and concrete scattered across the area. Search operations are ongoing to ensure no additional casualties remain, and teams continue to operate on-site, prepared to provide further medical care as needed.
