Baltimore, MD - June 16, 2025 - As July approaches, the hottest month of summer, BGE is reminding customers how they can save money by conserving energy.

Last Thursday, Governor Wes Moore, along with executives from several utility companies, including BGE, announced a new customer relief fund, aiming to reduce the burden of energy bills. Through a donation by Exelon, BGE's parent company, the fund will provide BGE residential customers with $15 million dollars. Individual customers who qualify could receive a one-time grant ranging from $250 to $750.

BGE says a customer’s bill will increase depending on how much electricity is used in their household.
