Baltimore, MD – Aug. 21, 2024 – (FOX45) The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced the addition of new automated speed enforcement locations in various school zones throughout the city. The speed cameras will begin operation on or around Monday, August 26, 2024. These cameras will monitor vehicles exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 12 miles per hour, with a violation fine of $40. The cameras will operate Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the designated zones. Enforcement may vary between temporary, rotating, or permanent at the specified locations, which include Hamilton Avenue, Echodale Avenue, Hillen Road, and Belair Road.
