Baltimore, MD - July 21, 2023  - Maryland's unemployment rate reaches a record low of 2 percent, the lowest in nearly 50 years, accordig to WMAR2News. The state gained 4,700 jobs in June, with significant growth in the Mining, Logging, and Construction sector. However, Trade, Transportation, and Utilities experienced some job losses. The positive trend continued from May when the state gained 2,000 jobs, resulting in a 2.4 percent unemployment rate.
