Baltimore, MD - Dec. 29, 2021  -  Councilman Schleifer introduces a new Covid testing location in the 5th District to address long wait lines and lack of testing during the Omicron and post-holiday covid surges.

After witnessing a significant shortage of COVID testing locations and the painfully long lines that Baltimore City residents have been enduring to be tested, I knew we could do better. I am excited to report that Accu Reference Medical Lab, will provide convenient testing accommodations as we continue to fight Covid-19.

The new drive-thru testing center will open on Thursday, December 30th, and will offer free PCR testing Sunday thru Thursday from 12:30-5:30pm. The site is located at the former Baltimore City Public Safety Training Facility, 3500 W Northern Pkwy 21215. For more information and to register, visit www.BaltimorePCR.com

I would like to thank our Mayor Brandon Scott and his staff, City Council President Nick Mosby, The Baltimore City Health Department, and Fire Department for their combined efforts and support for this life-saving initiative.

When the health and welfare of Baltimore City residents are at stake, I cannot rest until every possible option has been exhausted. Luckily, with my City Hall partners, we were able to find a solution rather than just complain about the problem. Offering free Covid testing during the current surge will result in fewer infections both in our homes, schools, and places of employment. When we work together, everything is possible!
