Joe Biden, officially the last remaining candidate in the race for Democratic nomination in the 2020 presidential election, said he will “seek to reopen” the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) office in Washington if elected.

In a statement made Tuesday for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Biden also said it was vital to stop Israel from taking any unilateral steps, which, as he asserted, could bury the prospect of Israeli-Palestinian peace.

Biden also reaffirmed his intention to re-open the US Consulate in East Jerusalem, a plan that has been reported on before. He added that he was going to resume financial and security assistance to Palestinians.
