Jerusalem, Israel – Sept. 8, 2025 – A deadly shooting unfolded Monday morning at 10:13 a.m. when two terrorists opened fire on civilians waiting at a bus stop at Ramot Junction on Yigal Yadin Street in Jerusalem. Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency dispatchers immediately deployed ambulances, intensive care units, and medicycle first responders to the scene.

According to MDA, the attack left five people dead and eleven injured, with victims suffering from a range of injuries caused by gunfire and shattered glass. The bodies of the two neutralized terrorists were also located at the scene.

Chaos at the Scene

MDA Paramedic Fadi Dekaidek described the situation:
"This was a very severe scene. We arrived with large forces and immediately began triaging the injured and providing medical treatment to several casualties with varying degrees of injury, including those in serious and critical condition. The wounded were lying on the road and sidewalk near a bus stop, some of them unconscious. We continue to evacuate the injured to hospitals quickly while providing life-saving medical care."

MDA Paramedic Nadav Taieb echoed the grim reality:
"We arrived at the scene with large forces immediately after the report of casualties from the shooting attack. When we arrived, we saw victims lying on the sides of the road and on the sidewalk near the bus stop, some unconscious. There was extensive destruction, broken glass on the ground, and a chaotic scene. We began providing medical care and evacuated the victims to hospitals. Unfortunately, after medical assessments, we had to declare four victims dead at the scene."

Fatalities and Injuries

MDA EMTs and paramedics initially pronounced the deaths of four men at the scene — a man in his 50s and three men in their 30s. Shortly after, a woman in her 50s who was evacuated in critical condition was confirmed dead at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, raising the total fatalities to five.

In addition, MDA treated and evacuated twelve casualties to Jerusalem hospitals:

7 in serious condition with gunshot wounds

2 in moderate condition

3 with mild injuries from glass shards

MDA EMT David Suissa recounted:
"As soon as I heard the report of the shooting attack, I left home with an MDA ambulance. When I arrived at the scene, I saw several gunshot victims lying on the ground, some of them unconscious. I treated a 45-year-old man in serious condition who was conscious and suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower body. I ensured his condition did not deteriorate, and evacuated him with an MDA ambulance to the hospital in stable condition."

Other paramedics described the desperate efforts to stabilize victims:

Boaz Alinson treated a semi-conscious woman in her 50s with gunshot wounds to her lower body.

Shlomi Levi cared for a woman in her 70s with gunshot wounds to her upper body, evacuating her in a mobile intensive care unit, before treating a woman in her 40s with similar injuries.
