Netanyahu's Statement on Israel's Attack on Iran
Israel is not responsible to provide aid to Gaza, US Senator Tom Cotton has clarified.
"Obviously their generals and their political leadership understand the security situation at each particular distribution site better than I do, or better than a Palestinian American would," Sen. Cotton said.
"But I do trust them to do everything they can to try to alleviate any Hamas-imposed suffering on Gazans."
He stressed, "I just want to point out to you what an unusual, I would say singular standard that the world seems to impose on Israel yet again. Israel was viciously attacked on October 7, without provocation. People were slaughtered, children were killed, women were raped, and yet the world expects Israel to provide food to the people from the land that launched that attack."
"Correct me ...
The US Justice Department alleged on Tuesday that the University of California, Los Angeles, failed to prevent a hostile environment for its Jewish and Israeli students since the start of October 2023.
According to the Justice Department, UCLA "violated the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by acting with deliberate indifference in creating a hostile educational environment for Jewish and Israeli students."

Baltimore, MD - July 29, 2025 - Our committee has been very busy these last few weeks getting in touch with our mills to see what the forecasts are for the Chodosh harvest for wheat, barley and oats. As we know, this has been a year of unusual weather. Very rainy in some (maybe most) places and very dry in others. This seems to be creating a difficult scenario for crop forecasts and large discrepancies amongst farmers and mills. Some crops in drier places will be earlier than usual. In places that have seen lots of rain, it will be later.
Here is where things stand now.
Pasta Products, Semolina & Durum Flour – Chodosh may enter the mills very soon. This means Chodosh pasta products, semolina and durum flour may be on retail shelves in 2-3 weeks from now. Exact dates TBD, b...

Baltimore, MD - Tuesday, July 29, 2025 – Due to continued dangerously high temperatures and high humidity, the Baltimore City Health Department has extended its Code Red Extreme Heat Alert through Wednesday, July 30. The alert, initially set to expire on Tuesday, July 29, is now extended to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, particularly vulnerable populations.
The extension of the alert provides residents with additional time to take precautions, avoid the heat when possible, and utilize cooling centers. Extreme heat poses significant health risks, especially for those working outdoors, older adults, young children, individuals with chronic health challenges, and pets.
“With the extension of the Code Red Extreme Heat alert, we want to make sur...

Baltimore, MD - July 29, 2025 - Annapolis was recently named to CNN's list of America's Best Towns to Visit in 2025. CNN lauded the historical and nautical vibe of Naptown, a small city of about 40,000 at the crux of the Chesapeake Bay and the Severn River.
"Indeed, there’s a lot of history throughout this cozy waterfront city, whose narrow streets, brick sidewalks and handsome Georgian buildings could serve as an 18th-century movie set," CNN reporter Brandon Griggs wrote.
Griggs recommended that tourists visit the state house, spend a day on the water, tour the U.S. Naval Academy and try some seafood.
"Annapolis, Maryland’s capital and a 45-minute drive from Washington, D.C., offers visitors much more than historic charm," Griggs wro...
Britain will recognize a Palestinian State by September if the situation in Gaza does not improve by then, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced today (Tuesday).
He stated that the recognition would take place at the UN General Assembly "unless the Israeli government takes substantive steps to end the appalling situation in Gaza, reaches a ceasefire, makes clear there will be no annexation in the West Bank, and commits to a long-term peace process that delivers a Two State Solution."
Starmer's ultimatum to Israel follows a similar announcement from French President Emmanuel Macron last week.
Hamas has called for intensified mass protest activity against Israel from August 1-3, seeking to capitalize on the momentum of the starvation narrative in the Gaza Strip.
In an official statement, Hamas urged global demonstrations to protest what it described as “continued Zionist aggression, destruction, and starvation in the Gaza Strip.” August 3 has been designated as a day of solidarity with Gaza, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, marking one year since the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
Hamas also called for increased demonstrations in front of Israeli, US, and other pro-Israel embassies around the world, claiming such actions are necessary to pressure Israel to halt its operations in Gaza.
Two days ago, senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya c...
Baltimore, MD - July 29, 2025 - The hot weather continues in Maryland, and the state has reported an increase in heat-related deaths this summer compared to last year.
At least 13 people have died from the heat this summer, and according to the Maryland Department of Health, that is two more than this time last year. In 2022, the state recorded six heat-related deaths.
Dr. Clifford Mitchell, from the Department of Health, explains why that number was so low in 2022 compared to now.
“We still had a lot of COVID-19. A lot of activity that was not taking place,” Mitchell said. “People were behaving differently.”
The report also found that most of the heat-related deaths so far this year are males who are above the age of 65.
Baltimore, MD - July 29, 2025 - Narcan, fentanyl test strips, and clean needles are being used across Baltimore to prevent overdoses and infections. These tools can save lives in the moment but they’re not enough, according to one expert on addiction and recovery.
Mike Gimbel, a longtime advocate for drug treatment and former heroin addict himself, says the real solution is being ignored: long-term access to treatment.
“The demand for drug treatment beds is enormous,” Gimbel said. “This is where Baltimore and the state of Maryland have fallen on their face.”
Gimbel, who has been in recovery for nearly 53 years, said the current strategies being used by city and state leaders are falling short. He’s calling them out publicly for what he calls a failure...

New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mandani is facing renewed scrutiny for his past stances on policing in the wake of an office building mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan that left three civilians dead as well as a police officer.
The shooter was neutralized as more information is being learned about the alleged gunman, Shane Tamura of Las Vegas.
"I’m heartbroken to learn of the horrific shooting in Midtown and I am holding the victims, their families, and the NYPD officer in critical condition in my thoughts. Grateful for all of our first responders on the ground," Mamdani posted to X on Monday night.
In the replies, people quickly shared images of a June 8, 2020 post when Mamdani said "No, we want to defund the police" and a Nov. 5, 2020 post when he said...
Hydes, MD - July 29, 2025 - Maryland Gov. Wes Moore slammed the region's electric grid operator, accusing the organization of blocking new power plants and driving up electricity bills, and threatened legal action over a process he said hurts Maryland farmers and working families.
After an hour-long, closed-door meeting on Monday morning at Boordy Vineyards in northeast Baltimore County, Moore took to a barnyard stage before dozens of the state’s agricultural leaders. He began his nearly 20-minute speech with a somber tone, but halfway through, he raised his pitch and, at times, struck his hand on the podium bearing the state seal.
“If we are going to be serious about actually creating a future that makes sure that we can respect all parts of the state, and make su...
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said Tuesday that a gunman who killed four people at a Manhattan office building was trying to target the headquarters of the National Football League but took the wrong elevator.
Investigators believe Shane Tamura was trying to get to the NFL offices after shooting several people in the building’s lobby but accidentally entered the wrong set of elevator banks, Adams said in interviews on Tuesday.
Four people, including an off-duty New York City police officer, were killed. Police said Tamura had a history of mental illness, and a rambling note found on his body suggested he had a grievance against the NFL over an unsubstantiated claim that he suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy. He had played football in high school in ...
A shooting at a midtown Manhattan office building on Monday left at least five people dead, including an off-duty New York City police officer, sources told the The Associated Press.
The suspect was identified as Shane Tamura, of Nevada, two people briefed on the investigation told the AP. Sources said he fatally shot himself.
Law enforcement officials located identification on Tamura’s body, including a concealed carry permit from Las Vegas, the people said. The people were not authorized to discuss details of an ongoing investigation and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.
The Fire Department of New York said emergency crews were called to the Park Avenue office building around 6:30 p.m. for a report of someone shot. The building houses some of the country’s top fin...
