Baltimore, MD – Sept. 23, 2024 - This morning, Councilman Isaac "Yitzy" Schleifer and Councilman Izzy Patoka convened the Baltimore community annual High Holiday Public Safety meeting. The gathering was an essential opportunity for community Rabbis, Shul presidents, and institutional leadership to hear from key law enforcement figures, including Baltimore City Police Commissioner Richard Worley, Baltimore City Sheriff Sam Cogan, and Baltimore County Police Chief Shawn Hanley.
Thank you also to Councilman Zeke Cohen for attending this morning.
We are deeply grateful for the insightful discussion on intel, the additional police coverage, and the public safety assets that will be assigned to our community during the holidays. The specialized deployment set for October 7th is especially appreciated, as it reinforces the commitment to ensuring our safety during this important time.
A special thank you to our local law enforcement for taking these proactive steps. Your efforts are invaluable to our peace of mind and security, and we are grateful for your continued dedication to our community.
