After the disappearance of two teenaged girls in Orlando on a Chabad Shabbaton, the hotel manager of where the girls were staying did something truly special.

The Jewish hotel manager decided to put on tefillin for the first time in his life in order to help find the girls.

The Shabbaton was held for recreation and spiritual elevation. The hotel manager was impressed by the brotherhood and mutual responsibility and great concern for the safety of girls, in particular the fact that hundreds of volunteers came to help in the massive searche effort.

The hotel manager, remembered that he was Jewish, and decided to put on tefillin for the first time in zchus of the girls, while praying for them to return soon.

After 18 hours knee deep in a swamp, the teenaged girls were found by a search part in a helicopter. The hotel manager was very happy when he heard the girls had been found.

He emotionally told the volunteers, “Thank God I was able to put on tefillin for the first time in my life.”

This gives new meaning to a silver lining in what looked like a very dark cloud. Am Yisroel Chai!
