Baltimore, MD – Apr. 7, 2016 - In a room packed with hungry judges and attendees, Tudor Heights stood alone as the only Kosher table at this year’s Taste of Pikesville which took place April 6 at the Double Tree by Hilton

The fact that they were Kosher wasn’t the only thing that made the Tudor Heights table unique and eye catching. This year, Tudor Heights wanted to make a difference by having only Israeli products at their table. “We were given a unique opportunity to serve anything we wanted. 3 times a day 365 days a year our head chef, Menashe Shabtai, prepares delicious meals for our residents and was prepared to do the same for the large crowed at this year’s event. We decided as a team, that with all the labeling of Israeli products happening around the world allowing consumers to pass over those options, that we will take some of those same Israeli products and offer them to the 300+ crowd,” said Zack Pomerantz who is the Marketing Director at Tudor Heights. With a sign that read “Peregrines Landing at Tudor Heights, Bringing a Taste of Israel to the Taste of Pikesville,” and an Israeli flag draped over their table, judges and attendees curiously made their way over selecting the foods they were most familiar with. “Our table was wonderful, offering foods such as Pita, Chumus, Babaganoush and Olives; all Israeli brands,” said Sherri Zaslow, the Executive Director. “And of course we had the good stuff; Bamba, Bissli and chocolate.”

Strategically placed by the entrance of the event, many of the Jewish attendees came over and reminisced about the last time they enjoyed these treats when they were in Israel many years ago. As for the other attendees, the favorite dish was the Pita with Babaganoush- both to taste and to say!
