Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 5, 2016 - The Jerusalem Business Network Forum, JBNF  and the Jerusalem Chamber of Commerce were two sponsors of an international conference held at the Ramada Hotel, called  CLEANTECH 2016.  On April 4-5, for the first time, the 20th International CleanTech conference was taking place in Jerusalem, Israel.

Waste treatment, water treatment, heat transfer, fuels filtering, lab analysis of matter, sustainable energy, recycling, renewable energy, solar energy, organic agriculture, and safety technology were conference topics. Panel discussions, lectures and exhibits were held in the Ramada ballroom and meeting rooms. 

The program included two public round table discussions. "Startups as the Engine of Growth for Cleantech in Israel" discussed how to make bringing Israeli cleantech technologies and products faster to the market. "A Green Vision for Jerusalem"  dealt with a thriving and sustainable local economy for Jerusalem, which would strengthen surrounding weaker communities and neighborhoods. Local hospitality welcomes pilgrims and tourists from around the world, visitors and residents would take pride in the safe, clean and green public domain.

Of special interest, was a delegation from China, presenting the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. Guangzhou, China's largest city, together with Singapore, is developing a catalyst for economic development with a newly developing area. Over 20 years, the project envisions a complex with clusters of knowledge-based industries. The Chinese look to Israel and this international conference for investment, knowledge and new technology initiatives.
