Baltimore, MD - Apr. 5, 2016 - An election year is upon us and Maryland’s Primary Election is only three weeks away.  Democracy grants us with the right to have our say in the direction our government – federal and local - takes for the next four years. An opportunity like this can be used to bring benefit and opportunities to our community and its institutions; to bolster the U.S.-Israel relationship and provide towards its security; to provide protection for our religious freedom; and to help preserve the morals of our society.

We would like to remind you that it does matter and it does make a difference to our community that all constituents participate in elections. The importance of simply casting your vote cannot be overlooked, regardless of the candidate one selects or the political party one prefers.



Please make sure you are registered to vote!

The registration deadline is TODAY, April 5th. Voter registration can be done online and paper forms are available in Agudah-Park Heights, Kol Torah, and Shomrei Emunah.

For this year’s Maryland Primary Election, the Jewish community finds itself in a unique situation. The Primary falls out on April 26, 2016 which is during Chol HaMoed Pesach. Those who are local and available to vote, please do so. If that will be too difficult or if you are out of town, the following two options are available:

Early Voting during the week of April 14-21

Absentee Voting – by requesting an Absentee ballot by April 19 or 22
