Baltimore, MD - Oct. 29, 2025 - Ohr Chadash Academy (OCA) is proud to announce that its Early Childhood Center (ECC) has achieved Level 5 — the highest possible quality rating — in Maryland EXCELS (Excellence Counts in Early Learning and School-Age Care).

Maryland EXCELS is the state’s Quality Rating and Improvement System for early learning programs, recognizing schools that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in education and care. Programs are rated on a scale from Level 1 (meeting basic licensing requirements) to Level 5 (exemplary quality).

The Ohr Chadash Academy ECC earned this prestigious recognition for its outstanding performance in several key areas, including:

●       Highly qualified educators dedicated to continuous professional development and growth.

●       Ongoing coaching and evaluation to ensure best practices in early childhood education.

●       A safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.

●       A developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Maryland’s Early Learning Standards.

●       Individualized learning experiences informed by ongoing assessments to meet each child’s unique needs and strengths.

“This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality early childhood education,” said Mrs. Dawn Kreisberg, Director of the Early Childhood Center. “Our teachers and staff work tirelessly to create an environment where every child can thrive and every family feels supported.”

A Level 5 rating means OCA’s youngest learners are part of a program that goes above and beyond state requirements, delivering educational excellence every day.

Ohr Chadash Academy extends heartfelt thanks to its dedicated staff, supportive families, and the entire community for helping the school reach this milestone.
