Mr. Levine is a graduate from the University of Chicago in mathematics and statistics with over a 3.5 GPA and over a 3.6 GPA in pure math. He achieved an ACT score in the 99th percentile and a perfect score (a 36) on the ACT math section. He has experience tutoring students in high school and college mathematics.
Mr. Levine has achieved excellent scores on math college prep exams scoring a 5 on the AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC exams. He was a National AP Scholar and scored 4s on AP Biology, AP Macroeconomics, AP Chemistry, among other exams. He was competitive in mathematics competitions winning awards in areas such as statistics, algebra 2, statistics, and calculus. For example, he ranked 7th in his state in statistics in the state math competition.
In terms of college classes, he took coursework in Multivariate Calculus, Multivariate Statistics, Probability, Complex Real Analysis, Financial Accounting, Advanced Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Honors Discrete Math, Honors Real Algebra, Categorical Data Analysis, Physics, Python Programming, Managerial Decision Making, and other courses.
Mr. Levine possesses the expertise and patience to be a great math, statistics, and programming tutor/teacher for high school and college students. He has done Calculus 1 tutoring for college students when he was in college and provided Algebra 2 tutoring to a high school student who was struggling. For example, he helped the high school student who was failing earn an A on his test. He also spent many hours doing tutoring while a member of the Mu Alpha Theta organization through an app where he was presented with problems and helped students come up with intuitive approaches to solve problems. Mr. Levine believes in using visualizations and logic to help students understand problems and mathematical ideas so they can develop the confidence to solve problems on their own without being given the answer.
