The Beyneynu organization, which is dedicated to combating missionary activity, has made an urgent plea to the Israeli Interior Ministry, says Arutz-7. The appeal is in regards to a Christian missionary family that is trying to infiltrate the Charedi community in Yerushalayim.

The Dawson family, who have changed their surname to Isaacsons and have started dressing in traditional Charedi attire, were caught as frauds in Phoenix, Arizona 16 months ago. Prior to this, they had attempted to infiltrate Jewish communities in Texas, Oregon, and Wisconsin, but were always forced to move on when their true identity was revealed.

According to the Charedi news source Bechadrey Charedim, the family is now residing in Yerushalayim after obtaining three-month tourist visas. They have settled in the neighborhood of Nachlaot, which is close to Machane Yehuda. Nachlaot is a diverse neighborhood that is home to Charedim, religious "hippies," traditional Jews, and secular Jews. In the past, this neighborhood has experienced turmoil when several immigrants from the United States were accused of conducting missionary activities after settling there.

The family is now trying to obtain Israeli citizenship with the intention of making it easier for them to become accepted into Caredi society and to arrange marriages for their children with regular haredi families.

In her letter to the Interior Ministry, Beyneynu's founder and director, Shannon Nuszen, wrote: “We believe that they will soon request to immigrate to Israel or, at the very least, secure student visas for their children through the Ministry of the Interior. It is crucial that the Ministry of the Interior take immediate action to prevent these individuals from obtaining any visas that would allow them to continue their harmful activities and advance their insidious agenda...We have received firsthand reports from Jewish communities and rabbis in the U.S. that the Dawson/Isaacson family is deceitful, dangerous, and very determined to establish themselves in Israel.”
