JERSEY CITY, NJ (VINnews) – Chasidic Jewish Cantor Yoely Greenfeld, brother of shooting victim Mindy Ferencz, a'h, H'yd, will attend a special Chanukkah celebration that will be held Sunday at the kosher supermarket that was at the center of the Jersey City shootout.
WABC TV reports that Greenfeld, will sing traditional Chanukkah songs at the event.
The menorah lighting will honor Officers Raymond Sanchez and Mariela Fernandez, who were injured while heroically responding to scene.
Officer Sanchez, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Moshe Schapiro and other members of the Jersey City Chasidic community are expected to attend the lighting in front of the supermarket where the fatal shooting took place.
