Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 28, 2019 - Meetings with US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and with Senior Advisor to the US President Jared Kushner delayed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his appearance at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center on Monday afternoon to address the Jewish Agency Board of Directors. Some participants were thinking of leaving as the Prime Minister arrived.
After being introduced by Jewish Agency Chairman Isaac Herzog, the Prime Minister began his remarks a quip about political opposition and how the Israeli economy is strong.
Netanyahu began to transition his remarks to the security concerns, of Israel and the Jewish people.
Finally, he concluded with the need for unity, of Jewish people and of the Israeli government at this critical time with Iran inciting terror. Calling for increased military and defense budget before a crisis needs unity to be achieved said Netanyahu.
Following the speech, delegates took a break before returning to the hall to continue conferring on the Jewish Agency agenda, financing and role for the future.
