Jerusalem, Israel - Nov. 22, 2018 - International diplomats, journalists, and Israeli business and government leaders gathered at the Waldorf-Astoria Jerusalem on Wednesday, to hear from dozens of speakers after opening remarks by Jerusalem Post Editor-in-Chief Yaakov Katz.

Professor Yonatan Halevy Director General of Shaare Zedek Medical Center led off the day with highlighting innovation and cooperation.

Members of Knesset serving as Israeli Government Ministers included Yuval Steinitz, Gilad Erdan, Yoav Gallant, Israel Katz and Ayelet Shaked

The Jerusalem Report Editor-in-Chief Steve Linde moderated the first on panel "On Center Stage:Women in Diplomacy" with women suggesting next year to have men also on the panel and in the discussion.

On the second panel in discussion of "Coexistence in Conflict: How BDS Undermines the Chance for Peace" also moderated by Linde, were Ron Brummer, Director of Operations at Ministry of Strategic Affair; Yehuda Cohen, CEO of Lipski Company, Barkan Industrial Park where two workers were killed by a terrorist, Oded Revivi, Mayor of Efrat and Chief Foreign Envoy of YESHA Council, and Ashraf Jaabri a Palestinian businessman. Jaabri spoke in Hebrew withe Avi Zimmerman of Ariel translating as the program was held in English.  

The consensus of the panel was service, quality, and price is what is important to success in business.  BDS does not help the Palestinians. We live in the same space since 1967, working together is what brings hope. "Fences give a sense of security, but we need bridges not fences," said Revivi. Jaabri said, "Bezerat HaShem"  there will good results from cooperation.

UN Special Coordinator for Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenoy was interviewed by Herb Keinon, Jerusalem Post political analyst. 

Other speakers included Jerusalem Post columnist Caroline Glick, former minister Gideon Sa'ar, Jerusalem Development Authority Tourism Director Ilanit Melchior, Head of IDF Strategic Division BG Ram Yavne, MK Tamar Zandberg, Tzipi Livni, Noble Energy Bini Zomer, Alber Levy, and Prof. Michael Glikson.

The display exhibit of the Jordan Valley Authority which offered fresh dates to attendees, received extra attention with the timing and discussions of Airbnb boycott of Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria.
