Baltimore, MD - Feb. 28, 2018 - With tremendous gratitude to Hashem Yisboroch, Congregation Tiferes Yisroel invites you to join us at our 32nd annual anniversary concert celebration, this coming Sunday night, March 4th, 2018, at Liberty Jewish Center, where our featured artist will be the inimitable Yehuda Green.

Born into a loving Breslover family in Mea Shearim, Yehuda Green developed a love for Jewish music at the tender young age of 5, smitten with its depth, melody and warmth. He went on to regularly perform while attending Lubavitch yeshiva, giving his first full scale performance in 1969. His interest in music deepened after hearing the sweet strains of the davening at the Western Wall on Friday nights. A serendipitous invitation to accompany Shlomo Carlebach at a kumsitz in 1980 led to steady rise in Yehuda’s popularity.  With the release of his first album in 2007, followed by numerous concerts and subsequent album releases, Green’s work was greeted with accolades by avid fans within the Orthodox and secular Jewish community alike.

When contacted by our shul and asked to perform at this year’s banquet, Yehuda’s response was overwhelmingly positive, as he was well aware of Tiferes Yisroel’s long standing musical tradition, and of our shul’s commitment to blending the beauty of song with the holiness of tefilla.

Yehuda’s genuine love of music and the Jewish people seamlessly blends with, and captures, the intimate spiritual message that Tiferes Yisroel delivers each day to the Baltimore Jewish community and beyond. It is with great pride and anticipation that our shul presents to you, Yehuda Green, artist extraordinaire, as we celebrate our 32nd year of inclusion and service.
