Mrs. Rochel Kelman, a young mother and Shlucha in Kibbutz Yifat in Northern Israel, passed away suddenly on Thursday, 1 Iyar, 5777.

She was 44.

Mrs. Kelman had been healthy, and she underwent minor surgery a few days ago that resulted in unexpected complications. Her passing was sudden and shocked her family, friends and community.

A devoted Shlucha and teacher who was an inspiration to her many friends, she was very active in organizing Jewish events and activities for residents of the Kibbutz where she and her husband serve as Chabad Shluchim.

She leaves behind her husband Rabbi Michoel Kelman and seven young children; Mushki, Meir, Mendy, Yosef Yitzchak, Shneur, Chani and Shmulik, who is only 8 years old.

She is also survived by her siblings; Mrs. Rivka Lindenbaum of Bnei Brak, Mrs. Malka Nisilevitch of Nazaret Illit, Mrs. Bela Brichta of Nazaret Illit, Rabbi Menachem Mann of Migdal HaEmek and Rabbi Yoel Mann of Or Akiva.​

The Levaya took place in Israel.
