Ben Uliel, a suspect in the Duma arson which killed members of a family in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village remains incarcerated in HaSharon Prison without bail pending the outcome of his trial.
He has been moved and the current arrangements are unacceptable according to Honenu attorney Adi Kedar. His cell mate is now a non-religious person and there is a TV, making his adherence to a frum life impossible. Kedar calls on prison officials to return him to his previous arrangement.
He is in a separate wing in which there are two to a cell around the clock. Having a non-religious person Kedar explains eliminates his client’s right to his religious freedom, especially Shabbos.
