Baltimore, MD - Aug. 12, 2025  - On Monday, August 11, 2025, a remarkable scene unfolded at the historic Bnai Israel Cemetery in Baltimore. The usually quiet resting place of the great gaon and tzaddik, HaRav Michoel Forshlager, zt"l, was filled with the heartfelt voices of hundreds of men who had come to begin a mission of chessed and justice with tefillah at his kever.

The group, traveling on approximately ten buses, were participants in a special trip organized by the Tzedek Association, under the leadership of Rabbi Moshe Margaretten, shlita. The organization is renowned for its tireless efforts on behalf of incarcerated Jews and for its work in advocating for criminal justice reform. Their mission to Washington, D.C., began not in the halls of government, but at a makom kadosh, seeking siyata d’Shmaya before engaging in their important work.

Upon arrival, the men recited Tehillim together, their voices rising in unison as a zechus for their mission and for all those in need of yeshuos. Divrei chizuk were shared, uplifting hearts and reminding participants of the power of tefillah and the merit of the tzaddikim. Light refreshments were served, and the group remained at the kever for approximately an hour and a half, creating an atmosphere of kavod, achdus, and spiritual elevation.

The kever of HaRav Michoel Forshlager, zt"l, is a place of special holiness. Over the years, it has drawn visitors from near and far who seek to daven in the merit of this towering talmid chacham and oheiv Yisrael.
