Baltimore, MD – June 18, 2025 – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Baltimore City and surrounding counties, in effect until 8:00 PM this evening.

Periods of heavy rainfall are expected this afternoon and early evening. Some storms may bring 1 to 2 inches of rain within an hour, with localized totals of up to 3 inches possible. The intensity of the rainfall may result in flash flooding, particularly in urban areas, low-lying roads, and near creeks and streams.

Residents are advised to:

Use caution while traveling, especially in areas prone to flooding.

Avoid driving through standing water.

Monitor weather updates and emergency alerts.

This watch affects Baltimore City, Northern and Southern Baltimore County, and surrounding regions in Maryland, including Harford, Carroll, and Howard counties.
