The resolution was approved by the majority of 142 countries in favor, with 10 voting against it and 12 abstaining from the "New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution."
Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon responded to the resolution, stating, "This one-sided declaration will not be remembered as a step toward peace, only as another hollow gesture that weakens this Assembly’s credibility…This is not diplomacy. It is theatre.
"The only beneficiary is Hamas…When terrorists are the ones cheering, you...
Baltimnore, MD - Sept. 12, 2025 - Members and supporters of conservative youth organization Turning Point USA are mourning the death of the group’s founder, Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot at a speaking engagement at a college in Utah on Wednesday.
Kirk was a close ally of President Donald Trump, who announced the 31-year-old activist’s death in a post on Truth Social. Trump wrote that “no one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”
In 2013, Kirk started Turning Point after dropping out of Harper College in Illinois when he was 18, and the organization quickly grew into what some described as “the dominant force in campus conservatism.”

This Motzaei Shabbat, Ashkenazi communities will begin saying Selichot, joining Sephardim who have already been immersed in these prayers since Elul began. With Selichot starting, the lead-up to the Yamim Noraim feels more immediate—you can almost sense the approach of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Selichot revolve around repeatedly calling out to Hashem’s thirteen attributes of mercy, the 13 Middot. In the next month, we return to these words nearly a hundred times—they become the heartbeat of our tefillot.
A Divine Mirror
We’re not just meant to recite the 13 Middot and move on. Each time we say them, we turn the spotlight back on ourselves. Hashem is merciful—are we showing mercy? He doesn’t repay evil with evil—do we hold back and try to giv...

Police have arrested a suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk on a Utah college campus earlier this week – identified by sources as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah resident.

He had been invited to speak at Utah Valley University by the campus chapter of Turning Point USA, a national conservative student group he founded. On Monday, six civilians were murdered in the terror attack at the Ramot junction, and four soldiers fell in Gaza, may God avenge their blood. Ten families will now begin to recite Kaddish for their loved ones. In their memory, here are a few words about the Kaddish itself:
The Kaddish opens with the words: “May His great name be magnified and sanctified.” In his prayer, the mourner asks that God’s great name be magnified and sanctified. Further on, the words of the Kaddish describe a good and perfected world, asking for the presence of God to be increased in the world: “May He be blessed, praised, glorified, exalted, uplifted, honored, elevated, and lauded…”
Why is this what we ask for after precious souls have ascended to Heaven? Because every human...
Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Dr. Yechiel Leiter, on Thursday, responded sharply to a public letter signed by 80 American Orthodox rabbis calling for “moral clarity” from Israel regarding alleged starvation in the Gaza Strip.
In a letter obtained by The Jerusalem Post, Leiter, whose son, Maj. Moshe Leiter, was killed in action in Gaza, accused the signatories of promoting misinformation and echoing anti-Israel narratives.
“Your statement not only reflects a severe unfamiliarity with the facts,” Leiter wrote, “but also relies on the lies of our worst enemies.”
Leiter cited Israeli intelligence estimates, also confirmed by UN monitoring sites, indicating that up to 90% of humanitarian aid to Gaza is seized or diverted by...

The United Nations Security Council on Thursday condemned Tuesday’s airstrike on Qatar's capital, Doha, which targeted Hamas’s leaders, but notably refrained from mentioning Israel in the statement, Reuters reports.
The joint statement, agreed upon by all 15 members of the Security Council including the US, highlighted the importance of de-escalation in the region. It expressed solidarity with Qatar, emphasizing the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
However, the statement did not directly reference Israel’s role in the attack, which allowed the US to back the statement as well.
