Two shootings against Jewish men in an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood with a large Orthodox Jewish community left the local Jewish community with a number of key questions still unanswered, even after the suspected gunman was taken into custody, reports Arutz-7. The two men were wounded after they left the Beth Jacob synagogue in Beverly Hills. The suspected gunman, who was apprehended in Riverside County with a rifle and handgun, had a history of animus towards the Jewish community. While police had initially said there was no evidence the shootings were motivated by antisemitism, law enforcement officials later told The Los Angeles Times that the suspect had an antisemitic history. Local police have heightened their presence in the area, and Jewish community centers have taken their own steps to ratchet up security.
