Baltimore, MD - June 7, 2022:

Dear Friends,

I hope your Yom Tov was meaningful, enjoyable, and uplifting. It was truly a privilege to learn, daven and grow with so many of you. As you may remember, on the last day of Yom Tov, during the Yizkor Drasha, I introduced our Kehilla’s Civility Pledge. This is an important step in addressing the interpersonal corrosion that has marked so many pockets and areas of life. If we each do our small part, we can B’Ezras Hashem, make a big difference. B’H, we gave out a few hundred copies of the pledge on Yom Tov.

The idea is to:

  1. Keep (printable from link below) a physical copy and keep it in a place where you will always see it (refrigerator, desk …).
  2. Sign it – so you reinforce your commitment.
  3. Please click on the link below to add your name to our online pledge (we will strengthen one another).
  4. Scan the QR code on the physical copy or click on the link below to join the Civility Pledge WhatsApp group for weekly ideas, chizuk and inspiration.

If every man and woman of our Kehilla commits to the pledge, imagine what a difference we can make in our families, community, and IYH beyond. And for those who are not members of our kehilla, we encourage and welcome you to take part and sign on to the Civility Pledge. Thank you to Ari Lichterman, Mayer Solomon, and Menachem Mendel Weissman for all of their help in forming this initiative and preparing the document. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I feel privileged to partner with each of you in this important endeavor.
