Israel’s Liba movement managed to temporarily halt the replacement of a wooden floor at the egalitarian Kosel, a $40,500 repair that was funded by the Prime Minister’s Office.

“This type of work proves that the goal of the Reform movements is to impose their faith on the Jewish character of the Kosel and the Jewish identity of the State of Israel, all under the auspices and support of the Israeli government, which despite promises, also includes MKs from Yamina,” Liba said.

Following a petition by the Reform and Conservative movements and WOW, the High Court demanded a state report on how it is handling their demand to implement the 2016 Kosel outline. The outline recommends building an impressive egalitarian Kosel plaza partially controlled by Reform bodies.
