The Washington Nationals chose Orthodox Jewish Elie Kligman, from Cimarron-Memorial High School in Las Vegas

Kligman is the second Orthodox Jewish player taken in this Draft after Jacob Steinmetz went to the Arizona Diamondbacks at 77th overall. He moved to catching in January but also has experience at shortstop and on the mound, where he touches 90.

Elie davens three times a day and won't play on Shabbos.
