Out of the 64,180 patients battling the disease, 873 are in serious condition
Israel recorded 7,820 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, as the Jewish state battles to curb the spread of COVID-19, new data released by the Health Ministry on Thursday morning showed.
There are currently 64,180 active cases in the country, among them 873 patients in serious condition -- including 210 on artificial respirators -- 234 individuals in moderate condition and the rest with mild - or no symptoms.

The death toll since the start of the pandemic rose to 3,527.
Of 129,711 screening tests conducted in 24 hours, 6.2 percent tested positive -- indicating a steady rise of infections throughout the country.
