NEW YORK (VINnews) – The NYPD is turning to the public for leads after three apartments in a Williamsburg apartment building were defaced with anti-Semitic graffiti.

Police said that the incident took place on Sunday night between the hours of 6 and 10 PM at 580 Wythe Avenue, an eight story building located between Clymer Street and Division Avenue. An unknown number of individuals wrote various obscenities on apartment doors and on an elevator in green ink, which was also used to vandalize several mezuzahs.

Detectives have been following up at the scene and attempting to gain access to the building’s security footage.
