The Homeland Threat Assessment report paints a worrying picture of a rising threat in the United States

The US Department of Homeland Security believes that white supremacist pose as the biggest domestic terrorist threat in America today, according to a new report released by the agency on Tuesday.

The document, known as the Homeland Threat Assessment, paints a worrying picture of violent white nationalist groups who are motivated by their hatred of Jews and “their perception that the government is controlled by Jewish persons.”

The report comes just a week after US President Donald Trump stirred controversy during a presidential debate against Democratic rival Joe Biden, failing to condemn white supremacy while calling on the far-right Proud Boys group to “stand back and stand by.” Read more at i24
