Netanyahu hails Sudanese remarks, asserts 'entire region will benefit from a peace deal'

“Israel and Sudan will gain from a peace deal,” the Sudanese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in an interview with Sky News Arabia on Tuesday, confirming rumors on the prospect.

“We are examining a deal of this kind out of Sudanese interests and without renouncing our values and principles,” Haidar Badawi Sadiq said in Arabic as cited by outlet Ynet, adding there is no reason for the continued hostility with the Jewish state.

“The step by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to sign an agreement with Israel is a bold step that paved the right way for the rest of the states in the Arab world. The Sudanese Foreign Ministry is looking forward to leading communication with the Israeli side toward a peace accord,” he added. i24
