The donation is part of an ongoing partnership between the two cities

The Municipality of Ashkelon has sent 2,000 masks to members of the Baltimore Jewish community as the city continues to fight the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The face masks are reusable and bear the inscription "Stronger Together".

The donation is part of an ongoing partnership between the two cities, which have been twinned since 2003.

According to the Jewish Agency, young residents of Ashkelon visit Baltimore each year to learn more about the Jewish diaspora.

And more than 1,000 Jewish residents of Baltimore visit Ashkelon to participate in various programs focused on topics such as leadership development, multigenerational engagement, and education.
