A Brief Update for Members

All of us are struggling to grasp the emotional and economic impact that COVID-19 has unleashed on our lives. Together, we must all do our part in helping to stop this pandemic.  Per Governor Hogan’s mandate and the guidelines of the CDC, the JCC will remain closed until future notice.

As we navigate through this together, our virtual JCC community is here for you.  Our team has been working diligently to provide valuable online content to keep you connected. Whether you are interested in online group fitness classes, personnel training tips or craft projects to do with your young children at home, check out our new Virtual-J.

Our entire JCC staff has been working tirelessly to navigate these new realities. Our Executive team and the Board of Directors are working closely with the Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore to determine our next steps.  We will continue to keep you updated.

Despite the uncertainly and anxiety we are all feeling, please use the weekend to relax, take a walk, meditate, or catch up with friends and family. It is critical that we each find ways to renew our spirit to prepare for the difficult days ahead.  If you are struggling, please reach out to our sister agency, Jewish Community Services (JCS) at 410-466-9200, email info@jcsbaltimore.org or visit https://associated.org/covid-19-updates/emergency-resources/.  Our community is here for you.

Thank you again for your commitment to the JCC and for your patience and understanding at this trying time.  Please continue to stay safe.

Shabbat shalom,

Randi Buergenthal, Chair of the Board
Barak Hermann, CEO
