During an interview today (Wednesday, 24 October 2018), at the JFNA GA, with outgoing JFNA Chairman Richard Sandler, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked about US-Israel relations, religious pluralism in Israel and the connection between Israel and Jewish communities around the world.
The Prime Minister stated that, "Israel is the home of every Jew and I want all Jews to feel comfortable here."
When asked what about Israel he is most proud of, the Prime Minister said: "We've restored our sovereignty…rebuilt our independence, our state, our army and our economy to preserve the Jewish future. It never happened in the history of nations but it's happening here and you are [all] part of that miracle."
The Prime Minister concluded his remarks by emphasizing the importance of preserving Jewish identity, stating that we all have to work together to ensure the "continuity of Jewish communities around the world…Protecting Jewish identity and developing Jewish consciousness transcend politics and touches on the foundations of history. We are one people, let's make sure that every Jewish child in the world knows how proud they should be to be Jewish."
