Baltimore, MD – Sept. 28, 2018 – On Thursday, Sept. 27, second day Chol HaMoaid, Governor Larry Hogan paid a visit to Sinai Hospital. In his tour of the hospital, the Governor accompanied by Dr. Johnathan Ringo, President, Chief Operating Officer of Sinai Hospital, and Mr. Yehudah Neuberger with officials and staff from the Governor’s office stopped off at the Bikur Cholim Kosher Pantry where they were greeted by Mr. Eric Reitberger, President of Bikur Cholim, Mr. Yaakov Feinstein, Board Chairman emeritus, Board Member Mr. Shimon Marciano as well as Rabbi Pinchos Rabinowitz, Executive Director.
Mr. Reitberger informed the Governor of Bikur Cholim’s many services within Sinai Hospital including the new Patient Advocacy Program and partnership with Sinai Hospital, as well as within the Baltimore Jewish community at large.
The Governor listened intently and was duly impressed by the Bikur Cholim Hospitality Room - dedicated by Seven Mile Market many years ago - and was interested to hear about the many social and chesed programs within the Jewish community.
The Governor thanked the Bikur Cholim representatives for their work and complimented Rabbi Rabinowitz on his active role in Sinai as well as in all Baltimore Hospitals.
In return, the Governor was sincerely thanked for graciously reaching out to the Jewish community and the help he and his office have extended to the community.
