Baltimore, MD – Aug. 31, 2018 - With hundreds of students pouring into our halls, the Rabbi Benjamin Steinberg Bais Yaakov Middle School was in desperate need of expansion. One year ago, the Smith Avenue Campus Expansion Project began the construction of a beautiful new three-story, 47,000 square foot building. We are proud to announce the completion of our project, on time, before the upcoming school year.
The expansion campaign was successfully launched with a generous donation by the Gutman family in loving memory of Mrs. Laure Gutman, a’h, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and esteemed Bais Yaakov teacher and mentor. This magnificent building serves as a tribute to Mrs. Gutman and her family who together with Bais Yaakov and many other generous donors truly understand the needs and importance of Jewish Education.
Please join us as we celebrate the completion of the Mrs. Laure Gutman Building with a ribbon cutting ceremony and building dedication, beginning at 11:30 AM this Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018.
