BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A car hit the right shoulder guardrail on the outer loop of I-695, causing two people in the backseat to be ejected. Police confirm both victims died as a result of their injuries.

It happened between Providence and Dulaney Valley Road in Towson, Md. around 1:18 a.m. Thursday.


There were four people in the vehicle at the time of the single car crash. The front seat passenger was wearing a seat belt and was not ejected. They advised police that the driver had fled on foot.

Baltimore County Police say they apprehended the driver a short time later on the ramp to Providence Road. Both the driver and front seat passenger were transported to Sinai Hospital.

The driver was wanted on an unrelated outstanding warrant and is being held in police custody. Read more at CBS
