Jerusalem, Israel - July 8, 2018 - President Revuen Rivlin hosted, at Beit Hanasi, the opening session of the first International Conference of Jewish Education of the Ministry of Diaspora, on Sunday, 20 Tamuz, July 8, 2018. The conference has brought together 120 leaders of Jewish educational institutions from around the world.
In the Beit Hanasi Gardens, the President Rivlin congratulated the participants who have come to Jerusalem, and wished them success in their important work.
Education Minister Naftali Bennett, also Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, welcomed the educators and shared his personal story, of his parents from California, and their journey to Israel.
Included in the elite group of educators is former Maryland resident Rabbi Ari Segal, head of Shalhevet High School in Los Angeles.
