Baltimore, MD - July 2, 2018 - Jewish Community Services (JCS) held its 10th Annual Meeting, Embracing our Elders as a Caring Community, on Thursday, May 31, at Beth Tfiloh Congregation.  The program featured a panel discussion, “Strategies for Navigating Care of Your Loved One.”  Panelists spoke about eldercare services, addressed how families can prepare for financial, medical and end of life issues, and highlighted the unique way JCS  partners with local physicians to address the needs of older adults.  In addition, Emma and Jacob Exler shared their experiences caring for a family member with dementia and the help they have received from a JCS caregiver support group. 

The meeting provided an opportunity to welcome five new members to the JCS Board of Directors. Jan H.K. Cardin, Esq.; Russell L. Margolis, M.D.; Michael A. Sapperstein, CPA; Joy Shillman; and Bonnie Stainman were elected to serve a two-year term on the Board.

JCS, a comprehensive human services agency of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, provides a broad array of services that meet the diverse, multi-dimensional needs of individuals and families throughout Central Maryland. Offices are located in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
