Baltimore, MD - June 9, 2018 - Anticipation is building in our community as the final preparations are made for the upcoming "Shabbos with the Mir", followed by a Sunday morning Yarchei Kallah, and the annual Benefit Reception for Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, on the weekend of June 15-17.

Harav Yosef Elefant, shlita, will grace the community for Shabbos Parshas Korach, speaking in various shuls throughout the neighborhood.  Harav Elefant is one of the Mir’s outstanding maggidei shiur whose insightful warmth and wisdom makes him especially popular with its American students. The clarity and depth of his messages are especially relevant to the challenges faced by the Jewish community today.  Details of all speaking venues will follow shortly.  Anyone wishing to schedule an appointment with Harav Elefant should contact Yaakov Sonnenblick at 516-507-4767 or alan@wealcatchmd.com

Harav Elefant will also participate in Sunday morning's Yarchei Kallah learning session, beginning at 8:15 am at Kol Torah, 2929 Fallstaff Road. The Benefit Reception for Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, which has profoundly benefitted Baltimore's appreciation for Torah, will take place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gil Horowitz, 3210 Fallstaff Road, on Sunday evening, June 17, at 8 PM.

Harav Nachman Levovitz shlita, Rosh Yeshiva, will once again fly in from Eretz Yisroel to meet and greet members of the community and attend the event.  In the twenty-eight years that Harav Nachman has been coming to Baltimore, he has nurtured and maintained close relationships with many families.

Mir Yerushalayim currently has an enrollment of close to 9,000 talmidim with an annual budget of over $50,000,000.  The Baltimore Community has over one hundred students learning in the Yeshiva, and over 400 alumni residing in Baltimore.  The upcoming events present an opportunity to show our appreciation, partner in the Yeshiva's success, and draw inspiration that will enrich ourselves, our families, and our entire kehilla.
