Explosions were heard on Sunday evening in the Hama region of Syria.
State media reported that the explosions took place at a base of the 47th Brigade of the Syrian Army in the southern part of the city.
Some reports said the explosions took place inside a warehouse belonging to Iranian militia.
Another report in the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen network said that missiles were fired into the Al-Malkiya area, located north of the airport in Aleppo.
It is unclear what caused the explosions. No injuries were reported.
Two weeks ago, Syrian media reported that the country’s air defenses responded to a missile attack over Homs, shooting down three missiles targeting the Shayrat air base, which was attacked by the United States last year following a chemical attack in Khan Sheikhun.
Later, however, a senior Syrian official said the incident was a false alarm and claimed that the malfunction had been caused by a “joint electronic attack” by Israel and the U.S. on Syria’s radar network.
