'And Israel must be made aware... that annexation is not acceptable under international law'

Lithuania's Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius said on Friday that Palestinians must take a public stance and speak out against terrorism if Ramallah still wants to make progress towards a two-state solution.  

"The Palestinians must be told to start acting fairly, to condemn terrorism and not to offer refuge to those who commit terrorist acts," Linkevičius told Hebrew-language daily Yisrael Hayom. 

"And Israel must be made aware that the two-state solution is important, and that annexation is not acceptable under international law," he added. 

Lithuania, Linkevičius said, hopes "that the Palestinians will understand that dialogue between Israel and the Arabs is a good thing." Read more at i24
